About CHANLO

An independent approach to fine jewellery.

CHANLO is an independent British fine jewellery design house. We create a small collection of made-to-order pieces in solid gold and platinum, with close attention to proportion, wearability and the information a client needs to choose confidently.

Why CHANLO exists

Fine jewellery with a clear point of view.

CHANLO was founded to offer an independent alternative: fewer designs, developed carefully; materials described plainly; and a buying experience built around confidence rather than pressure.

The jewellery remains the focus. Evidence—drawings, specifications, diamond reports and UK hallmarking—supports the story.

Founder

Founded by Michael Chan.

Michael Chan founded CHANLO to create fine jewellery with a distinct point of view and a buying experience grounded in clarity. The purpose is not to reproduce the conventions of an established house, but to build an independent British design practice in which every piece earns its place.

The first collection contains only four designs because focus matters. A smaller collection allows proportion, setting, material and wearability to be considered in depth, and gives each object room to be understood. CHANLO will expand only when a new design adds something necessary.

Every piece is made to order rather than held as finished stock. This keeps production connected to the person who will own the jewellery and allows the chosen metal, diamond and size to become the specification for that piece. It also supports a more deliberate approach to quality control and client communication.

Lab-grown diamonds were selected for the first collection because they offer the same material and optical properties as mined diamonds while allowing design, proportion and craftsmanship to remain central to the value of the finished object. Each launch diamond is individually IGI certified, and qualifying gold and platinum pieces are independently hallmarked in the United Kingdom.

CHANLO’s standard is simple: describe materials honestly, make carefully, and remain available throughout ownership. Craftsmanship matters because trust is built in the details a client can see, understand and continue to rely on long after delivery.

01 / The first collection

Only four pieces.

The Signature Ring, Solitaire Pendant, Fine Chain and Complete Necklace form one coherent beginning. The collection will expand only when a new piece adds something necessary.

02 / Made to order

Produced for a person, not for inventory.

Each piece is made after it is ordered in the selected metal, stone size and, where relevant, ring size. This allows attention to remain on the individual piece and avoids holding finished jewellery without a client.

03 / What to expect

Clarity before purchase and care after it.

Clients can expect honest specifications, a clear production estimate, insured delivery, UK hallmarking where legally required, and direct support for care, repairs and resizing.
