Technical reference
Materials & Standards
A plain-language reference for the precious metals, diamonds, independent reports and hallmarks used across the CHANLO launch collection.
01
Solid gold
The launch collection is offered in solid 14k and 18k yellow, white and rose gold. These are solid precious-metal alloys rather than plated finishes. The selected fineness and colour are recorded in the order specification.
02
Platinum
Platinum is offered as a solid precious-metal option across the launch collection. Its fineness is independently verified through hallmarking where UK law requires it.
03
Lab-grown diamonds
Diamond-set launch pieces use lab-grown diamonds. A lab-grown diamond is diamond material produced by a technological process rather than a geological one; it has essentially the same chemical composition, crystal structure, optical and physical properties as a natural diamond.
04
Diamond reports
Each diamond-set launch piece is supplied with its individual IGI report as standard. The report identifies the diamond as laboratory grown and records assessed characteristics such as carat weight, colour, clarity and finish.
05
UK hallmarking
Qualifying gold and platinum pieces are independently tested and hallmarked in accordance with UK law. A complete UK hallmark includes marks that identify the sponsor or maker, the precious-metal fineness and the Assay Office.
06
Made individually
Each piece is produced after an order is placed. The selected metal, stone size and any ring-size information form the production specification, and the completed order is checked with its accompanying documentation before dispatch.
07
Product-specific evidence
Each product page is the source for verified dimensions, stone information and what is included with that piece. Where a specification has not yet been supplier-confirmed, CHANLO will not substitute an assumption.
